Previously, he was Vice President Worldwide IBM Sustainability Software Sales & SaaS Sales Leader, with responsibility for the software portfolio designed by IBM to help businesses turn their sustainability strategies into action. Simultaneously, he also led SaaS sales of IBM's entire software portfolio.
Volpe can look back on a decade of experience at the international level, in which she held the roles of business leader responsible for customers for the SME market and IBM's ecosystem development for Europe.
Throughout his career at IBM, he has held increasingly relevant roles in our country, from sales to large customers, to the hardware business to becoming Vice President of the Cloud & Software division and later of the Technology division.
He opened IBM's first business accelerator in Israel and managed startup development programs in Europe. In 2019 he launched the IBM Garage in Italy, part of the international network of centers dedicated to digital transformation pathways for companies of all industries and sizes.
Since the 2018/2019 academic year, he has been an adjunct professor at MIBE, Department of Economic and Business Sciences, University of Pavia, where he is currently a lecturer in “Transformative Innovation.”
