Lieutenant General Andrea Rispoli is at the head of all the Carabinieri Corps' Forestry, Environmental and Agri-food Units. Previously, he held numerous command positions in Italy, including the Carabinieri Interregional Command ‘Ogaden’ in Naples, the CC Calabria Legion, the CC Lazio Legion, the CC Command at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, as well as staff positions at both the Carabinieri General Command and the Defence General Staff.
(He graduated in Political Science from the University of Siena and in Internal and External Security Sciences from the University of Rome ‘Tor Vergata’. He holds a Master's Degree in ‘Strategic Sciences’ from the University of Turin and a Master's Degree in ‘Experts in Security and Organisational Sciences’ from the Officers' School. He is a Commendatore dell'Ordine al Merito della Repubblica Italiana (Commander of the Order of Merit of the Italian Republic and has been awarded the Medaglia Mauriziana al ‘Merito 10 lustri di carriera militare’ (Mauritian Medal of Merit for 10 years of military career), the Gold Medal for ‘Merit of Long Command’ and the Gold Cross for ‘Merit for 40 years of military service’).
