Carlota Alvarez Pedreira

Managing Director, Oracle Italy and Vice-President Legal, South Europe

Carlota Alvarez began her career at Oracle as an intern in 1999 and formally joined the legal team in Italy in September 2000. 

A graduate in Law from the University of Barcelona (Spain), before joining Oracle she had practiced law in a Catalan firm; she had then landed in Italy for a Master's degree at SDA Bocconi. 

Thanks to her commitment and great judgment, she was promoted Head of Legal for Italy in 2003, and since 2010 her responsibility was extended to Greece and Malta. 

In 2016 she was promoted to Vice President Legal for Southern Europe, where she oversaw the development of this team into a highly collaborative and cohesive unit focused on supporting Oracle's business across the region.

A longtime A.D. and Chairman of the Board of Oracle Italy, in October 2023 she was also appointed Country Manager: in this role she chairs the Steering Committee formed by the business lines and staff functions.
