Federico Protto

CEO, Cellnex Italia

Federico Protto is Managing Director and President of Cellnex Italy and CEO Alpine Cluster (Italy, Switzerland and Austria) of Cellnex Telecom. He has extensive international experience in the telecommunications industry. Among his main responsibilities he was General Manager of Intred (until March 2024), CEO and General Manager of Retelit (2015-2023) and Vice President of T-Systems International (2010-2015). He was also Head of Telecommunications Business Unit at T-systems Italia (2002-2010), Director of Service Delivery for Southern Europe at Verizon Business (1999-2002) and Head of Technical, Specialist and Outsourcing Services at TIM (1994-1999).
He holds a Bachelor's degree in Electronic Engineering from the Politecnico di Milano, a Master's degree in Information and Communications Technology from Cefriel (Politecnico di Milano) and an MBA from SDA Bocconi (Bocconi University), cum laude.
