Since April 2021 Gianmatteo Manghi has been the CEO of Cisco Italia.
His experience in Cisco began in 2000 after previous experiences first in Ericsson - where he also held the role of co-responsible for a joint-venture project with an American Internet solutions consulting and development company - and later in Digital Equipment.
For Cisco, Gianmatteo Manghi held various management roles in sales, with increasing responsibilities.
He was Regional Sales Manager in the Alternative Service Provider segment and, since 2006, Director of the SP Challengers & Media division for Italy.
From 2009 to 2013, as South Collaboration Sales Director, he led for Southern European countries the expansion of this segment, also managing the integration of the Webex and Tandberg teams in the countries under his responsibility, following the acquisition of the relevant companies by Cisco.
In 2013 and for the last seven years, before assuming his new role as CEO, he was Sales Director of Cisco Italy, responsible for global, enterprise and public sector customers.
Gianmatteo Manghi combines his activity in Cisco with a constant commitment related to ICT training. Since 2008 he has been a partner of the Elis Consortium, a nonprofit organization belonging to the Italian network of Cisco Networking Academies that deals with training and retraining with the aim of overcoming the digital skills gap in our country.
He has also been a Teaching Fellow at LUISS University since 2019.
Gianmatteo Manghi holds a degree in Economics from La Sapienza University and lives in Rome with his wife and two children.
