Luigi Ferraris

CEO, FiberCop

Since July 1, 2024, Luigi Ferraris has been CEO of FiberCop, the most advanced wholesale network infrastructure in Italy with about 25 million km of fiber.
From June 2021 to June 2024 he was CEO of Ferrovie dello Stato Italiane, while from May 2017 to May 2020 he served as CEO and General Manager in Terna.
From February 2015 to April 2017 he was Chief Financial Officer of the Poste Italiane Group, while from October 1999 to January 2015 he was a member of the Enel Group, where he held various top management positions. During the same period he was also an independent director of the energy company ERG SpA.
A graduate in Economics from the University of Genoa, Ferraris began his career in the auditing sector of PriceWaterhouse and held various managerial positions in major Italian and international industrial companies, starting with Agusta, Piaggio VE, Sasib Beverage, and Elsag Bailey Process Automation. Between 1998 and 1999 he served as Chief Financial Officer in Elsacom, a Finmeccanica Group company operating in satellite telephony.
He is a professor of Corporate Strategy at LUISS Guido Carli University in Rome and a member of the Board of Directors of Banca Passadore.
