Marina Calderone

Minister of Labour and Social Policy

Born in 1965, of Sardinian origin (Bonorva, SS), Marina Elvira Calderone, degree in Business Economics, Labour Consultant since 1994, is the Minister of Labour and Social Policies in the government headed by the Honourable Giorgia Meloni. 

Before becoming Minister, she held various institutional positions: President of the National Council of the Order of Labour Consultants (2005-2022), President of the Permanent Joint Committee of Professional Orders and Colleges (2009-2022) and member of the European Economic and Social Committee (2015-2022).

She was also a member of the Board of Directors of Finmeccanica S.p.A. (now Leonardo S.p.A.) from 2014 to 2020 and Vice President of the Associazione ProfessionItaliane from 2021 until her appointment as Minister.
