Mario Nobile

Director General, Digital Italy Agency (AgID)

With a degree in Civil Engineering and a PhD in Transport Engineering, Mario Nobile has held various management positions in the field of spatial planning and design and IT services, including broadband development programmes in the territory.
In 2010, he joined the Ministry of Infrastructure and Transport; from November 2015 to March 2023, he held the position of Director General for Digitalisation, Information and Statistical Systems at the Ministry.
Parallel to his positions in the Public Administration, he also held academic roles at Alma Mater - University of Bologna and University of Rome UnitelmaSapienza.
In March 2023, he was appointed Director General of AgID, the Agency for Digital Italy.
