Maurizio Fatarella

General Manager, PagoPA S.p.A.

Maurizio Fatarella is a manager with experience gained in the financial services and payments sector, with solid skills acquired in roles of management, development and coordination of areas and business units of large companies.  
With a degree in Economics and Banking Sciences from the University of Siena, he gained several experiences in project management and organization, first at the multinational EDS, later at Credem Banca and then at Cassa di Risparmio di Volterra where he held the position of Chief Operating Officer.
From 2013 to 2017 he was Group Marketing and Product Development Director at Bassilichi S.p.A. and Deputy General Manager of the subsidiary Consorzio Triveneto S.p.A, a leading POS and Corporate Banking company. He then joined NEXI, first as Head of Product Management in POS and in-store payments and later as Head of Business Line ATM & Self Banking.
In his professional career, he has gained in-depth knowledge in digital payments, solid experience in launching new business and product initiatives, as well as a strong aptitude for the evolution of IT services and platforms and infrastructure consolidation.  
Since May 2021, he has been the general manager of PagoPA S.p.A.
