Natasha Crampton leads Microsoft's Office for Responsible AI as the company's first Chief Responsible AI Officer. The Office for Responsible AI defines and governs the company's approach to responsible AI and contributes to the discussion of new laws, regulations, and standards needed to ensure the benefits of AI and protect against its risks.
In a personal capacity, Natasha serves on the United Nations Secretary-General's Advisory Board on Artificial Intelligence, which is making recommendations for international AI governance.
Prior to establishing Microsoft's Office for Responsible AI, Natasha was a principal advisor to the Aether Committee, Microsoft's advisory board on responsible AI. Natasha also spent seven years in Microsoft's subsidiaries in Australia and New Zealand, helping highly regulated customers migrate to the cloud.
Prior to Microsoft, Natasha worked in law firms in Australia and New Zealand, specializing in copyright, privacy and internet security issues. Natasha graduated from the University of Auckland in New Zealand with a Bachelor of Laws (Honours) and a Bachelor of Commerce with a specialization in Information Systems.
