Federations (ARISF) and the Union Internationale Motonautique (UIM), the global governing body for all powerboating activities. He is also a member of the International Olympic Committee’s Sustainability and Legacy Commission. Previously, he held the position of President of the Global Association of International Sport Federations (GAISF), the umbrella organization for all Olympic and non-Olympic International
Sports Federations, and was also the President of SportAccord. In addition to his leadership roles in sports governance, he serves as the Chairman of SAFE, a center of excellence for energy and environmental initiatives. His career also spans key executive roles in the energy sector, including CEO positions and board memberships in multinational energy companies. As a professor and lecturer, he has contributed to master’s
and postgraduate programs at several universities, specializing in energy resource management and sports administration. He has chaired numerous international panels and he is the author of over 50 publications. His contributions have earned him multiple honors and awards from academic and governmental institutions.
